About us.

I have been keeping bees for about 7 years, starting with two hives. During my time getting started, the methods of beekeeping used by most people include feeding sugar to the bees multiple times a year and using chemicals to control pests in the hive. This just did not seem right to me since my family and I were consuming what came out of the hive.

Initially, I just did not follow the chemical treatment trend, and eventually found resources of others in the beekeeping community that felt as I did. I have since changed the type of hive which I used from a traditional langstroth to layens, and I have been following treatment free practices on all hives which I have currently set up.
